Family Medicine is the heart of primary care: there's no other field of medical practice in which you can help so many different types of patients and treat so many medical conditions; have as great an opportunity to follow your professional interests wherever they lead; and make as big of an impact on families and communities.

Overlook Family Medicine Residency Program:

• Has trained physicians for 37 years, consistently achieving the highest level Residency Review Committee (RRC) accreditation
• Manages two high-volume Family Medicine offices, in Summit, NJ and Chatham, NJ; both are a short train ride from the heart of New York City and are in close proximity to the hospital
• Faculty includes experts in women's health, geriatrics, hospice/palliative care and osteopathic manipulative therapy
• Offers a subsidized international medicine program for medical residents who provide care in underserved areas overseas, and a fully approved, dually-accredited osteopathic and allopathic residency

Overlook Hospital is part of Atlantic Health, and is a 504-bed not-for-profit community teaching hospital located in Summit, NJ with more than 1,200 attending physicians.  Overlook provides adult and pediatric emergency care, with specialties in emergency cardiac angioplasty and stroke response.  The Atlantic Neuroscience Institute, based at Overlook, is New Jersey's leader in stroke and brain tumor treatments as the leading provider of the revolutionary Merci® Retriever and CyberKnife®.  Overlook Hospital has a designated comprehensive stroke center, a bariatric surgery center of excellence, a minimally invasive surgery program, a comprehensive cancer center and a digestive center.
