If you are a person with diabetes, it's worth making sure you have the best care and support available. At the Adult Diabetes Center at Morristown Memorial Hospital, we'll teach you self-management techniques, and help you and your loved ones better understand your condition. So meet with us for an assessment and instructions -- and get back to enjoying life.

Our center is recognized by The American Diabetes Association for meeting the national standard for diabetes self-management education. Our team of certified diabetes educators, consisting of advanced practice nurses, registered nurses and dietitians, work with your primary physician or endocrinologist to help you:

  • Plan meals
  • Monitor blood glucose levels
  • Self-administer medication
  • Handle emergencies
  • Prevent complications
  • Implement healthy habits
  • Initiate and manage treatment on insulin pump therapy
  • Evaluate diabetes control with a Continuous Glucose Monitoring System

  • Education for women with gestational diabetes.
  • Adult Diabetes Support Group: meets quarterly; please call 973-971-5524 for dates and times.
  • Adult Pump Support Group: for those using an insulin pump or interested in pump therapy; meets every other month; please call 973-971-5524 for dates and times.
  • Safe Syringe Disposal Program: offers containers and drop-off for used syringes through the outpatient lab at Morristown Memorial.
